Ingredients
- 250 g onions
- 20 g butter
- 100 ml white wine
- 2 tbs balsamic vinegar
- salt
Preparation
1. Add all ingredients to the pan. Add enough water to cover the onions completely.
2. Heat the pan on highest level up until it begins to boil, switch to a low level and cook onions for approx. 15 minutes until soft.
3. Continue to reduce until the juice has turned into a dark sauce.
Tip
- Shallots can also be used instead of onions. In addition, herbs such as thyme, rosemary, or spices such as black pepper, cloves, or mustard seeds can be added to round things off.
