Ingredients
- 8 slices toast
- 4 ts apricot jam
- 1 banana
- 3 eggs
- 50 ml cream
- cinnamon and sugar
Preparation
1. Spread four slices of toast with a little apricot jam.
2. Peel banana, cut into thin slices and spread on spread toasts, place remaining toast slices on top and press together lightly.
3. Whisk together eggs and cream. Heat the pan on highest level up to the roasting window, switch to a low level , toss toasts in egg-cream mixture and place in the pan.
4. Roast the first side of the toasts until the roasting window is reached again. Turn toasts and finish roasting without lid for approx. 3 minutes until golden brown.
5. Sprinkle toast with cinnamon and sugar and serve.
Tip
- It is best to use toast with a whole grain content, which tastes nuttier and scores with valuable fiber.
- Serve homemade custard or fresh fruit puree with the French toasts as desired.
- Top the toasts with strawberry slices or thin mango slices for variety.
