Sweet pear and potato dumplings

  1. 200 g floury potatoes
  2. 200 g halved pears (canned), drained
  3. 1/2 ts cinnamon
  4. 125 g curd (20% fat)
  5. 1 egg
  6. 1 package vanilla sugar
  7. 1 pinch salt
  8. 50 g flour
  9. 70 g semolina
  10. vanilla sauce to taste

1. Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and place in Softiera insert.

2. Pour 150 ml of water into pot and place Softiera insert in it. Place EasyQuick with sealing ring 24 cm on pot.

3. Heat the pot on highest level up to the steam window, switch to a low level and cook for approx. 10 minutes in the steam area.

4. Remove the EasyQuick at the end of the cooking time, take out the Softiera insert and let the potatoes steam dry.

5. Press the potatoes through a potato ricer.

6. Cut the pear halves into small cubes and mix with the cinnamon.

7. Mix the curd, egg, vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt. Mix with the potatoes, flour and semolina.

8. Using the EasyQuick, cut a circle out of baking paper and place in the Softiera insert.

9. Divide the potato dough into four portions. Flatten into a circle, place 1/4 of the pears in the middle of each, seal the dough well and shape into dumplings. Place the dumplings in the Softiera insert.

10. Pour 150 ml of water into the pot and place Softiera insert in it. Place EasyQuick with sealing ring 24 cm on pot.

11. Heat the pot on highest level up to the steam window, switch to a low level and cook for approx. 10 minutes in the steam area.

Tip

  • Butter crumbs for sweet pear dumplings: Melt 50 g butter in a pot. Then add 30 g Panko and roast until golden brown, stirring constantly. Pour the crumbs over the pear and potato dumplings.
