- 100 g green gram dal without skin
- 500 ml water
- 250 ml milk
- 300 g jaggery, grated
Garnishing
- 1 tbs ghee
- 30 g cashew nuts, broken
- 30 g raisins
- 1/4 ts cardamon powder
Preparation
1. Place washed rice and green gram dal in the big pot along with water. Close the pot with Secuquick softline, heat the pot on highest level up to soft window. Switch to a low level and cook for approx. 2 minutes in soft area.
2. When the cooking time is completed, place the pot in a separate inverted lid and allow it to depressurize by itself.
3. For garnishing, heat up the small pot on highest level up to the roasting window. Switch off the hob. Add ghee, cashew nuts and raisins. Roast until the nuts are golden brown in color.
4. Remove the Secuquick, mash the dal rice mixture with a laddle. Place the pot back on hob at low level. Add jaggery, millk, cardamom powder and mix well. Add the roasted raisins and cashew nuts and cook stirring continuously for approx. 3 minutes. Once it becomes thick, switch off the hob and serve hot.
