Ingredients
- 250 g butter
- 300 g sugar
- 1 package vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 6 eggs
- 500 g flour
- 1 package baking powder
- 200 ml milk
- butter for greasing
- 30 g cacao
- 50 ml milk
Preparation
1. Blend the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt until fluffy, gradually fold in the eggs. Stir in the flour, baking powder and milk.
2. Grease the jars and put half of the batter in them.
3. Stir the rest of the batter with cocoa and milk and spread out on the light-colored dough (jars filled max. halfway). Pull a fork through the light-colored and dark-colored layers of batter to create a spiral design.
4. Seal jars with rubber rings and clips/clasp. Screw screw top jars.
5. Place jars in Softiera insert and sieve insert. Pour 200 ml water into the pot, place the Softiera insert inside.
6. Place the sieve insert on the pot and close the pot with the EasyQuick with the 24 cm sealing ring. Heat the pot on highest level up to the steam window, switch to a low level and cook for approx. 35 minutes in the steam area.
7. At the end of cooking time, remove sieve insert, remove the Softiera insert and let the cakes cool.
Tip
- Whether cocoa powder, chocolate chips, dried cranberries, a little caramel sauce or coconut flakes. It is nice to switch up the batter to offer a vast choice of small cakes. A dollop of cream, ice cream, or sorbet peps up the cake for guests.
