Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice
Masala powder
- 2 cloves
- 1 piece cinnamon
- 1 ts cumin seeds
- 1 tbs coriander seeds
- 1 ts sesame seeds
- 1 tbs dry coconut, grated
Seasoning
- 1 ts sunflower oil
- 1 ts mustard seeds
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 30 g cashew nuts
- 1 green chili, slit
Preparation
1. Place small pot on the stove and set it on highest level. Switch on Audiotherm, fit it on Visiotherm and turn it until the roasting symbol appears.
2. As soon as the Audiotherm beeps on reaching the roasting symbol, switch off the heat and dry roast all the ingredients mentioned under masala powder.
3. Let the ingredients cool down and grind them into a fine powder.
4. Place the pot on stove and set it at highest level. Switch on Audiotherm, fit it on Visiotherm and turn it until the roasting symbol appears.
5. As soon as the Audiotherm beeps on reaching the roasting window, reduce the heat. Add oil and mustard seeds. After the mustard starts crackling, add curry leaves, green chilli and cashew nuts. Roast until cashew nuts turn golden brown.
6. Add masala powder and washed rice. Mix for 1-2 minutes. Add 2 cups of water and salt to taste.
7. Close the pot with Secuquick softline, switch on Audiotherm, enter 1 minute cooking time and cook in the turbo area.
8. At the end of cooking time, place the pot in the inverted lid and allow it to depressurize by itself.
9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with raita.
