Djuveč rice

  1. 1 clove of garlic
  2. 1 onion
  3. 2 red bell peppers
  4. 200 g long grain rice
  5. 200 g diced tomatoes (canned)
  6. 100 g ajvar (spicy red pepper spread)
  7. 400 ml vegetable broth
  8. 2 ts AMC Red Velvet
  9. 150 g frozen peas

1. Peel and finely cut the garlic and onion. Clean and finely dice the bell peppers.

2. Add the onion and garlic to the pot and heat on highest level up to the roasting window. Switch to a low level, add the diced peppers and rice and roast briefly. Add the diced tomatoes, ajvar, vegetable broth and AMC Red Velvet and stir.

3. Heat the pot on highest level up to the vegetable window, switch to a low level and cook for approx. 15 minutes in the vegetable area. Add the peas and cook for another 10 minutes.

Tip

  • The rice is a perfect side dish for ćevapčići.
