Ingredients
- 1 vanilla bean
- 1 L red juice (e.g., cherry juice or red currant juice)
- 80 g cornstarch
- 750 g mixed berries
- approx. 50 g sugar
Preparation
1. Slice open the vanilla bean lengthwise with a sharp knife and scrape out the pulp. Stir into the pot with cornstarch and juice.
2. Bring everything to a boil on the highest level while stirring, reduce to a low level and let simmer for approx. 5 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, clean and sort the berries. Carefully fold the berries into the fruit mass and sweeten to taste.
4. Pour into a glass bowl or serving glasses and let chill well, preferably overnight.
Tip
- This dish tastes best when served with a creamy vanilla sauce.
