Ingredients
Yeast dumplings:
- 250 g flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 15 g fresh yeast
- 120 ml milk, lukewarm
- 40 g sugar
- 40 g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- butter for greasing
- 6 pieces of chocolate or nougat
Fruit compote:
- 500 g plums or apricots
- 100 ml apple- or orangejuice
- 1 cinnamon stick
- sugar to taste
Preparation
1. For the yeast dough, mix flour and salt, make a well and crumble the yeast into it. Mix with milk, a little flour and 1 teaspoon sugar. Cover and let rise for about 20 minutes.
2. Knead in remaining ingredients up to and including egg yolk. Cover and let rise in a warm place until the volume has increased significantly.
3. In the meantime, clean the fruits and cut into small pieces depending on the size. Mix with juice, cinnamon stick and sugar (depending on the sweetness of the fruit) in the pot.
4. Grease sieve insert with butter. Divide the dough into six pieces and fill each with a piece of chocolate. Close dough well over filling, shape into a dumpling and place in sieve insert.
5. Place the sieve insert on the pot and close with the EasyQuick with the sealing ring 24 cm. Heat the pot on highest level up to the steam window, switch to a low level and cook for approx. 12 minutes in the steam area.
6. Remove the sieve insert after the cooking time has elapsed. Serve the steamed dumplings with the warm compote.
