Ingredients
- 1 ts ghee
- 1 onion,sliced
- 1 ts cumin seeds
- 2 green cardamon pods
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 5 cloves
- 2 green chillies, slit
- 1/2 ts ginger, finely chopped
- 10 cashew nuts
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 4 cups water
- salt to taste
- 2 tbs coriander leaves, chopped
Preparation
1. Add ghee, whole spices, chopped ginger and cashew nuts in the pot. Heat the pot on highest level up to the roasting window.
2. Switch to low level and roast the onions until golden brown.
3. Add the washed rice, roast for approx. 2 minutes to dry up the excess moisture. Add water along with salt. Close with the Secuquick softline.
4. Heat the pot on highest level up to the soft window, switch to low level and cook for approx.1 minute in soft area.
5. When cooking time is completed, place the pot in a separate inverted lid and allow it to depressurize by it self. Serve hot with curry or raita.
