The AMC cooking method "roasting without added fat" guarantees juicy roasting results thanks to temperature control. The roasting window and the turning point help you to get to the optimal time for roasting and turning the meat. All this we do without the addition of fat, oil or butter. A nutritional study on roasting* shows that good taste is not boosted by fat. The taste comes from the meat itself, not from the fat used for roasting.
At the same time, unnecessary calories are saved when roasting without added fat: You save up to 140 calories each time you roast meat or fish without added oil or fat. If you roast 5 times a week you save up to 700 calories, which makes 34.000 calories per year! This equals the number of calories you burn when running for 49 hours or 540 kilometers or that are in 6,5 kilograms of chocolate. It has never been easier to save up on unnecessary calories!
An important step for the optimal roasting result is the turning point. The turning point tells you when to turn the meat during roasting. It is 90 °C on the Visiotherm display. As soon as you have your meat in the pan, you can put the lid back on and place the Audiotherm on the roasting window. The Audiotherm beeps as soon as 90 °C is reached. Then you can turn your meat over and adjust the roasting window again. In short: Simply roast both sides of the meat until you reach the turning point and then turn it off. Depending on the meat, leave it to soak for a while and you're done.
