Ingredients
- 300 g leek
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 3 red bell peppers
- 40 g brown sugar
- 125 ml water
- 300 g flat Asian-style pasta (e.g. glass noodles)
- 150 g salted peanuts
- 5 stalks coriander
- 3 ts sambal oelek
- soy sauce
- pepper
Preparation
1. Clean the leek, slice it down the middle lengthwise and then cut each half crosswise into thin strips. Peel and mince the garlic. Clean and dice the bell peppers.
2. Add a little sugar to the pan and turn up the heat to highest level. As soon as the sugar begins to melt, switch to a low level. Add the rest of the sugar little by little and allow it to caramelize until golden.
3. Remove from the heat, carefully pour in the water and simmer until the caramel has fully dissolved.
4. Add the vegetables, heat the pot at highest level up to the vegetable window, switch to a low level and cook for approx. 8 minutes in the vegetable area.
5. In the meantime, cook and drain the pasta according to the instructions on the packaging. Chop the peanuts finely. Chop the coriander finely.
6. Add the peanuts to the vegetables and bring to a boil. Season to taste with sambal oelek, soy sauce and pepper. Add pasta and coriander, mix well.
